A known drug had unprecedented result in 12 cancer patients part of a small trial, shining a ray of hope for radiation-free treatment.
In a surprising result for an ongoing medical trial, 18 rectal cancer patients were completely healed of the disease after taking a drug for six months.
The patient underwent a series of medical exams-physical exam, endoscopy, bioscopy, PET scans, and MRI scans, and none of the reports showed any signs of tumor. It is good for the mankind to hear the news after several decades of facing cancer fear that Cancer vanishes after drug trial .
About the Drug
According to New York Times, the drug Dostarlimab has seemingly cured every patient suffering from rectal cancer in the trial.
Dostarlimab is a drug with laboratory-produced molecules that function has substitute antibodies in the human body.
Patient took Dostarlimab for around six month and after over 12months the doctor found that their cancer has vanished.
They were all in similar stages of their cancer. It was locally advanced in the rectum but had not spread to other organs.
Although the sample size of the trial is quite small, it definitely proves that Dostarlimab can be potential cure for one of the most deadly common cancer.
